Meet the Teacher Evening
We are looking forward to welcoming families to our Meet the Teacher Evening on Thursday, September 10, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The evening will begin with a short presentation at 5:15 p.m., followed by an opportunity for families to visit classrooms, meet teachers, and learn more about courses, programs, and classroom expectations for the year ahead.
We encourage all families to attend and look forward to showcasing our school.
Building Access Update
Beginning Monday, September 14, all school doors, including the front entrance, will be locked at 9:30 a.m. and remain locked until lunchtime. Doors will be locked again at 1:00 p.m.
Students, families, and visitors arriving outside of regular entry times will need to press the black intercom button to gain access to the building and then check in at the office. This helps us maintain a safe and secure building for students and staff.
Hallway Expectations During Class Time
We've noticed a large number of students spending class time in the hallways.
Starting this week, students who are out of class will be brought to the office and families will be contacted. If a student continues to skip class, we may ask a parent/guardian to pick them up for the remainder of the day so we can reset expectations and try again the next day.
We appreciate your support in reinforcing the importance of attending class and making the most of every learning opportunity.
Connect Cup Begins!
The Connect Cup kicks off the week of September 8. Throughout the year, students will earn points for their Connect class through:
- Completing assigned tasks
- Regular attendance
- Positive engagement and participation
We look forward to some friendly competition as students work together to build connection, school spirit, and engagement.
Principal Advisory Group
Students interested in joining the Principal Advisory Group are invited to complete the Principal Advisory Expression of Interest.
The Principal Advisory Group provides students with an opportunity to share their perspectives, offer feedback, and help shape initiatives that support a positive school experience for all students.
RICH Recognition Nominations
In an effort to recognize and celebrate our school community, we invite families, students, and staff members to nominate students, teams, clubs, groups, and staff for outstanding achievements.
Not all nominations may be shared publicly, but we hope to recognize some of the incredible things taking place at the school that may have been missed in previous years.

PowerSchool Overall Course Grades
This year, Overall Course Grades (calculated averages) in PowerSchool will only be visible during designated reporting periods.
Throughout the semester, students and families will continue to see assignment results, assessment information, and teacher feedback, providing ongoing insight into learning progress. Delaying the display of overall averages helps keep the focus on growth, feedback, and learning rather than fluctuations in a numerical grade that may not accurately reflect achievement early in a course.
For the 2026-27 school year, Overall Course Grades will appear:
- Three weeks before the end of Terms 1 and 3 (excluding Spring Break)
- Four weeks before the end of Semesters 1 and 2 (excluding Winter Break)
Families with questions about their child's progress are encouraged to connect directly with their child's teacher(s).
