School Update Messages
Congratulations to Our Cross-Country Running Team
Congratulations to our Cross-Country Running team and coaches, Rebecca Meltzer and Tyler Gordon, on an outstanding achievement this season.
Nelson Mandela High School was recognized for having the highest percentage increase in City Championship finishers among eligible schools. The team increased its number of City Championship finishers from 4 athletes in 2025 to 13 athletes in 2026, representing an impressive 225% increase.
As a result of this accomplishment, the school will receive 10 pairs of spikes/shoes to support our student-athletes, along with a trophy recognizing this achievement. Congratulations to our runners and coaches on this well-deserved recognition and for representing Mandela with excellence throughout the season.
