Classroom Transition Expectations
Beginning this week, students will be asked to refrain from leaving class during the first and last 15 minutes of each period.
This expectation will be implemented across all classes and is intended to support a safer school community through improved supervision during class transitions. Reducing hallway traffic during key transition periods will help staff maintain a safe and orderly learning environment while maximizing valuable instructional time.
We appreciate the cooperation of our students and families as we implement this school-wide expectation.

Diploma Exam Writing Locations
Nelson Mandela High School is unable to accommodate diploma exam writers from outside the Calgary Board of Education (CBE), including current Nelson Mandela students who are taking a diploma course through another school jurisdiction.
Our exam spaces, technology, and staffing are planned to support students who are registered in courses at Nelson Mandela High School or within the CBE.
For students taking a diploma course through another school authority, that school is considered the student's home school for that course and is responsible for arranging and administering the diploma exam.
