YOUnited Friday School UpdatesCongratulations Please help me in congratulating Zahra Z. and her third place finish at this past Friday’s Debate tournament at John G. Diefenbaker. Zahra placed in the self-authored poetry category! Also, one final news clip of Harshita making us all proud following her trip to Ottawa last week. School Council Last week we hosted our first School Council meeting. There was a terrific turnout and many new faces in attendance. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the school and to make decisions on how our Parent Association funds are used to support students. Our next meeting will be on October 15th at 7pm in the Learning Commons. Taking Care of our Spaces We would like to remind students to take care of our spaces. We have experienced a greater deal of vandalism in the pre-function washrooms than in year’s past. We are asking students to use the washrooms for what they are intended for and not as a place to hang out in and certainly not to vandalize this space. Students who come across vandalism should report it to a teacher as soon as possible so we can ensure it is repaired quickly, but also so we can identify who may have caused the damage. |
